Default Rear Turn Signal Bulb Replacement. How???

Greeting all, first post. My much beloved 2011 Durango (my 3rd) presented me today with a message that my left rear turn signal bulb is not functioning.

I'm a pretty bright guy, custom bike builder, former race car engineer... but for the life of me, I cannot see an easy way to access the bulb. The interior body panels do not seem to have an access panel. I opened the hatch and removed the two plastic pins from the lamp assembly and started to pry the lamp away from the body, but quit fearful of breaking something.

Can anyone tell me how to access that bad bulb so I can replace it myself? Its a 3057 bulb as I recall.

Sorry, don't have a clue. I know most tail lights now have 1 or 2 screws and a couple of pins that pop out when you pull on them.

Open the hatch and you should see two fasteners...

First remove the 2 plastic fasteners shown in the pic above.

Pull the center plug of the fastener straight back to allow removal. Once the fasteners are removed, the tail-light housing should pull straight back.
