Default 2006 4.7L fan hub clutch replacement

Hello, I have a 2006 Durango with a 4.7. I need to replace my radiator fan hub clutch. I do tow a camper in the summer months. I am looking for any guidance on type or brand. Do I need a clutch? Can I use a direct drive fan? Has anyone ever done away with the mechanical fan and installed an electric fan instead? Again, type and brand. Thanks

I have an 01 with 4.7. I have a factory tow package that included an electric fan along with the clutch fan to motor. I had to replace the clutch several months ago and got it at Autozone, it was a direct fit with no issues, very pleased with its performance at about a third of the price of a Mopar part from the dealer. Pulling a camper as you do it might be a good idea to add and electric. As far as a direct drive fan its my opinion they tend to rob power from the resestance that they create. I hope this helps... Drive On !!!!........ Greg
