Cool Code SESP Rear Load Leveling Suspension

My rear shocks need replaced but it appears my shock are unique because of thus option. After research these are about $400 Each but look just like other shocks for $80. Has anyone changed these shock with the more economical shock. 2012 citadel has 80,000 miles and $800 for shocks is hard to swallow. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

With a self leveling system you can't use regular shocks.

Since this is added option I'm thinking that I can go with the regular shocks. Also after much review the Self leveling shock doesn't have any electrical hook up or air line hook up. It internally self adjusts after a couple of cycles. I think I'm going to order a decent standard shock and go for it. I find it hard to believe that I'm the first person to think $800 for a item that only last 70,000 miles is insane. Plus with the standard shock I could change them every 20,000 miles and still be ahead. Unless someone has a specific reason that this can't be done I'll post later how this works out.

Ok, So now the shocks that a dealer service guy said would work have very poor reviews. Also they mention how the upper shaft doesn't fit along with very poor performance. Fortunately through more research I have found the MOPAR 68069843AH shock for about 316 dollars which is still unbelievable but much better than the dealers $452. Does anyone know of another manufacturer that has an equal too or better shock than the 68069843AH?

after nothing but poor reviews the interweb has nothing but bad reviews about the upper shaft not fitting and riding very poor

The self leveling shocks have internal valving and the coil springs are different with these shocks, Dodge uses this same system on the LC and LX plate forms and you have to change the coil springs to run regular shocks.
