Default Need help

about a week ago my Durango misfired a couple times and as i pulled into a intersection i completely lost power to the brakes and steering( i still had power to air and radio etc..) I coasted in nuetral into a parking lot and turned the car off. When i tried to crank it again it stalled. I repeated the process about three times and it started up. It cut off again as i started to pull off and this is when my grandfather tightened the bolts on the battery connectors which seemed to work bc we were able to drive the car home. The next day It was misfiring and had the check engine light on and i did the code reader it said p0335 which was the crankshaft position sensor. The next day i tested it with the code reader and it did not read any codes although it would misfire occasionally and wouldnt start the first time cranked. I bought the cps but want to know is that what i should replace before i actually do the job. Thanks.

I just replaced mine on my Ram. It died twice with no codes and ran fine for two days. I figured it was that or camshaft sensor but then I was on my way home and I felt a minor hesitation a couple of times before the check engine light came on with a CPS code stored. I'd rather put in that $26 part and make sure I'm not stranded someplace than take the chance. I've not had another issue since replacing mine.

Also low battery voltage from a bad cell or corroded connections can also cause all kind of electrical gremlins including misfires.
