Default subs / amp install

Question....

2013 Crew w/ rear entertainment but only 6 speaker setup.

I installed a LOC (line-out converter) last night, but I really dont like not being able to control the subwoofer on the fly.

I did notice that on the harness behind the radio that I tapped into, the plug has +/- empty spaces on plug itself where a sub's wires would go if this came with the sub / amp package from factory.

I have the 430N headunit, Would I be able to add pins into those designated for the subwoofer and run my sub off of that part of the plug and have any control over the sub or would I need something flashed in my car to recognize a subwoofer was added into the factory harness?

I installed a Kicker L7 with a 4.5 cubic foot ported box and an American Bass VFL 100.1 1500 watt mono amp. I primarily listen to rock / metal, but the other half prefers rap / hip-hop so I cant naturally pull over and change the amp gains. I do have the remote bass knob, but have always tried to stay away from those as it can kill subs fast.

yea this sub-forum seems to be very inactive, but I wanted to post here as its where it goes really.

I did order a OAC AOEM-CHR3 kit from amazon for $35. Supposedly people are using them and its easy, but just have to wait and see.

The PAC-AOEM CHR3 was very easy to install. Just unplug the factory plug from the 430, plug it into the PAC piece, plug the pac into the 430 and run your RCA / remote wire.

I have to find a way to control the subwoofer volume from the front of the car though.

Anyone with a 9 speaker setup w/ amplifier able to tell me if your radio has subwoofer controls?
