New
Hi everyone. I'm new here, and I have an issue I need help with on my 98 Durango 5.2l 4x4. I recently replaced the IAC and now it idles at 1800 or above. Also it has been backfiring for a while now which is why I replaced the IAC in the first place. I have replaced the TPS as well it didn't help anything. Any ideas?

Ok everyone. I did a bit of tinkering and found two things. A, the new IAC I installed was shorter than the old one, and B, it was pulling air from around the seal which I could only hear when I had the vehicle running and pulled the air breather off, must not have been tight. I also have not heard the backfire since but will be listening to be sure
