2017 GT HID headlight confusion

First, hello. I just joined the forum today. I figured after frustrating myself on this issue, I'd join a forum.


I recently bought my wife a 2017 GT, and the other night I noticed that after about 60 seconds, the DS headlamp would shut off. Here's where it gets interesting. Once the light shuts off, I can cycle the switch to off, and then back on and the light stays illuminated for about 60 seconds. Once it shuts off, even flipping the high beams won't turn it on. You have to cycle them off/on. The light turns off regardless if it's auto or the "on" position.


Any ideas? I assumed the light and ballast would be good, otherwise it wouldn't turn on at all. I've traced wires and don't see anything would cause an intermittent failure.
