Smile Gibson Axleback Installed!

I made a comparison video for all those who are wondering how the Gibson Axleback 616006 mufflers do sound on a Citadel 2012 V8 model. Mid (suitcase) mufflers wasn't changed at all!

With the Gibson Axleback, you get a really great deep rumble in low to mid rev, but sound is cut off in high rev as with the stock resonators.

Drone is noticeable in idle after start only, but stops about 60s later. Sound level is just right, feels a lot louder than the stock. But you are still able to sneak around here in the EU without getting noticed

Sounds really good. Where did you purchase it? Was it an easy install?

I got them at jags.com. They were the cheapest for oversea delivery to Europe.

They fittet very well, as described in their manual. No issues at all.

Now after 1500 miles, I have to say that in some circumstances, I got a really annoying drone around 1000 - 1500 rpm, which is at cruising speed (80 mph). Sometimes nothing at all, sometimes really bad.

I'll probably put the resonators back on and am going to replace the suitcase with a pair of Flowmaster Super 50's if the drone doesn't go away within the next 1000 miles.

Good to know. Still deciding what setup to go with. Thanks for the info.
