Looking for information on my 02d. Found this forum doing a Google search. Got electircal drama, won't start, when jumped, the voltage is not steady. If this was old school I would replace the voltage regulator but not sure now, thinking alternator. Voltage will go from 13.7 to 19 to zero back to 13.?, lights on dash brighten and then dim changes with rpm of engine.

Thanks
Dave

On the Durango the voltage regulator is built into the alternator. Before I replaced it I would check the tensioner pully to make sure the belt is tightened properly. If that is good, you can take the alternator to almost any auto parts and heve it tested. It's not a difficult job to replace it.
Hope this helps.
