I'm a fire apparatus mechanic for a career fire dept. in NY. We have a 2008 Durango response vehicle that answers over 3,000 calls a year. This has been handsdown our most troublefree vehicle we have had in my 24 year career. The only problem that I have is the right headlight plug that plugs intio the back of the bulb keeps melting. I've replaced bulbs and the plug, and it keeps happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome from utica.are you running aftermarket headlights?alot of aftermarket headlight bulbs run way hotter than factory wattage bulbs and will melt the plug.also are you running strobes in the headlights?maybe the little box the stobes plug into is getting hot and is too close to the headlight plug?
