Figured I'd give a shout out about an issue that Dodge is interested in.. not sure if this has been posted before but...

2013 Dodge Durango V6 with the 5sp trans..
At about 12k miles I felt the tranny starting to load up at highway speeds (50-60) in top gear. Seemed like it was loosing power then pop - engine light comes on and the tranny drops into 4th and power was back. top gear was no longer available till the vehicle was restarted. Engine light will go off after a day or so till it happens again. Feels like the transmission is loading up in top gear only.

Took the vehicle for warranted repair, engine codes reported torque converter failure.

Dodge service reps just happened to be at the dealership and got very interested in the failure. They ordered a complete new transmission replacement and they wanted the failed one to take a microscope to because they've had a few reports of the same thing.

Figured I'd update - going on 26 days with it sitting in the dealership repair lot.. no end in sight.. Lemon law buy back is now in process.. Dodge's customer service is horrible. Supposivily the customer service manager I was assigned to got fired and I got left hanging. Chrysler already offered to pay my monthly payment OR give me a little bump in my warrantee.. They've already spent twice that in my rental car.
Update #2 - going on 35 days now.. new tranny should be here in 3 weeks. Pushed the lemon law with Chrysler. They offered a MSRP / MSRP swap to another Chrysler vehicle but participation from the dealer level is voluntary and since the dealer won't be making any money, none of the dealers will play. Paperwork is now being pushed to the state for arbitration. Gave Chrysler the option to just buy the vehicle back at MSRP plus two loan payments that I've made since the vehicle has been in.. practically laughed at me.
Torque converter clutch solenoid for the trans. fails to lock.
