2nd time Durango owner, 1st time R/T owner!

So my first Durango was a 2001 Durango SLT green with tan undertoning. Was a wonderful automobile and in 2006, my wife made me get rid of it for something more economical and from 2006 until a week ago, I was forced to live life out in a jail cell called a 2005 Chevy Impala LS. One of the worst cars I have ever had in my life and that is counting the $50.00 '78 Chevy Monza I had when I was 16.

So last week, the Impala turned 100,000 miles, the heat stopped working, the rear defrost stopped working, the front end had a problem where it started to warp (yes warp) the rotors. Time for me to get something new (used).

Originally started looking at used 1500's but nothing caught my eye. Then test drove Grand Cherokee's and they were decent but again, no "wow" factor. After talking to the sales rep for a dealership (I went to middleschool and high school with this sales rep) we found out that I qualified for Employee Pricings, dealer incentivies and USAA discount on brand new so the first new one I drove was a 2012 Durango R/T redline in color. Two words summed up my test drive "H**Y S**T" have they really improved the Durango.

It is now sitting in my garage
