Has anyone done any aerodynamic mods to the Durango to improve fuel mileage?
I have managed to hit 21 mpg on my 2001 4x4 5.9 with tow package and 3.9 gears.
It requires modest speeds and a bit of following trucks and the mileage drops significantly at 65 and up.
It seems like an air dam and/or lowering the front might reduce the airflow under the Durango, netting a decent improvement.
Any suggestions?
Lowering the Durango definately helps a little. However, fuel milage wasn't the top priority when Dodge designed these rides.
Your best bet is a light right foot.
