I've not used the AUX input yet on my D, but what you are describing sounds like a problem that needs to be fixed by the dealer. In addition to swaping the cable, I'd also try a different auxiliary device just to make sure it's not your player. Good luck.
AUX Jack
So I have a 2011 Express with the base radio/CD player and it has an AUX jack. It only works intermittently, once every 3 days or so, I've swapped the cable and that makes no difference. W/O taking it back to the dealer yet, has anyone else had this issue or found a quick fix? Thanks for any help!

If it isn't the device or cable, then it might be a loose connection inside the radio. I'd take it to the dealer.
Yeah, tried 2 devices. I'm deployed and don't want to bother the wife to take it to the dealer, I guess it will be added to my to-do list when I get home... great!
