Gatty 2011- Hotel Info
We have decided to stay at the Sidney James Mountain Lodge again in 2011. I haven't signed the contract yet, but we have agreed to everything listed below.
I've discussed all of the issues that we had this year. I know there was an issue with A.D.A. rooms and that has been addressed. They have 1 room and the Garden Plaza, next door, has more that we can use at the same rate.
There was a problem with soap and shampoo in the rooms. A group of 200 cheerleaders checked out the same morning we checked in and the housekeeping staff was not able to handle the workload. I've been told this will not happen next year.
We needed a bigger meeting space and that has been taken care of. The Garden plaza has a meeting space that can hold 450-500 seated. The Sidney James staff negotiated a very reasonable price for the entire weekend and they're splitting the cost with us.
A couple members asked if there was any way to stay closer to the main strip. We have 2 condo properties that the Sidney James has arranged for us. Info is posted below.

- Room rate - $70
- Dates are Friday - Tuesday (June 10-14)
- Courtside rooms are pet friendly
- 1 free room for every 40 booked
- We will have a drawing for the free rooms.
- 1 A.D.A room on hold
- Garden Plaza has an A.D.A rooms if we need it.
- Laurel Inn (1.5 - 2 blocks from main road) and Old Gatlinburg Rentals (1 block from main road) have rooms.
- 1 bedroom w/sofa sleeper $89
- 2 bedroom 2/sofa sleeper $109
- 3 night minimum
- Garden Plaza will keep their lounge/bar open for us.
- We can use the meeting space at Garden Plaza.
- We can use it for the entire weekend.
- Audio equipment is in the meeting space.
- They will purchase and display a banner (with our logo on it) in front of the hotel.
- They are talking to the Chamber of Commerce and the local radio station for advertising.
- They are going to talk to the Convention Center about a catered group dinner.
