Wires to the blower motor resistor will be hot to a point. A faulty connection at the resistor itself could cause the plastic connector to melt.
Hot wires
Yesterday I sat on the passenger side and with the heater on high I felt the wires down near my foot. They were too hot to touch. At first I thought I felt a short. Maybe I did but anyway the wires were way to hot to touch and I smelt what may have been the plastic melting on the wires. Any one know what the problem may be? Thankx. The heater was putting out good heat.
