I have hated this truck ever since I was forced to buy it new in 2008 (my Explorer died in a remote village with nothing but a Dodge dealership). I don't like how the doors flex when you're driving. It took me 6 months to get used to the blind spot. I have mistreated this Durango. Dragged it up and down the Baja peninsula on hideous roads. Popped a dozen tires. Skipped oil changes. Driven it hard hard. I always expected that I was a month away from selling it.

110,000 miles at present. Never a single mechanical problem. No water pump issues - nothing! Did rear brakes at 60,000 miles. Just put on new pads on the front for the second time ever. This has been the most reliable vehicle I ever could have imagined. I feel bad for having disliked it so long.

After being that dependable you still hate it? Wow, some people are just cold. :D lol
I hope you get another 100,000 trouble free miles out of it.

110,000!!!! You should do what Tymont did and let Chrysler know so they can put you in the 100,000+ Owner's Club.

As for me, I just hit 10,000 miles yesterday.

I just bought my '03 2WD Durango with 180,016 miles on it.
Besides having to rebuild the front suspension soon, I had to get a battery and a new P/S pump. The truck is very solid, with no rust!
Hope to keep this one for some time! :<))

Thanks for this thread !! I have a 2003 Durango Sport that has been a great vehicle ! Recently had the usual manifold bolt problem. And since it just turned 120,000 miles, I was thinking of selling it and buying new. But after reading all these posts, I think I'll just sink about $5,000 into old reliable (fix all the little stuff,
New wheels & tires..etc.) and shoot for 200,000 + !

Update, I've had my 2012 5.7L Crew since March 2013. Had 12,200 miles on it. Today it had 45,302. So what's that, average of around 2,070 miles a month. So if I keep the Durango for the total of 15 years I am planning, it should have....385,000 miles on it. OUTSTANDING!!
