I believe you push the bulb in and turn counter clockwise then pull.
License plate lights
Does anyone know how to remove the license plate lights? I can get the covere open but how do you pull out the bulb?

How do you get the outside cover off? I can only open it until it hits the license plate frame. This gives me no room to get my fingers in there and push and twist anything. LOLI believe you push the bulb in and turn counter clockwise then pull.
If I remember right, I had to reach my hand behind the bumper and remove it from the top and let it hang from the wires to get to it.
It's in the owner's manual on how to do it. I don't know what year you have but if you have a 3rd gen you can access it either via the DVD that came with your Durango, d/l it off of the Dodge website, or call Chrysler customer service and request a hard copy.
