That's just a patch, better find a replacement if you want it fixed for good.
what year? the 98-03 have an upper hose leak at times...
I'm having the same exact problem! It's not in my oil and its not smoking, no puddles, and nothing I can tell is wet... Although its snowing so everything's wet lol but no green anti-freeze... Mines a 98 with the 5.9
Bart's Leak is a good patch as a temp fix. Best bet is to check and see if there was a recall for that.

I'm with Joe, You need to check AutoZone, or Advance Auto they have really good prices on new replacements that will fix the issue and pay off on the long run......P.G.
I replaced the radiator on my 2000 R/T 5.9 last year. It wasn't too expensive from RockAuto. Only took a couple of hours to do.
