Sounds like it might be the clockspring. It's known to cause some very strange problems with the wipers when it goes bad.
wiper problems
i am having problems with my dodge durango 2002 .i turn onm the wiper on delay and ity work the first time then it goes crazy it stay running or not at all.. i have change the switch in the steering wheel and the relay also change the wiper motor the only thing i have change is the central timer module.. i cant even find it in the truck...i found something on the firewall but i am not sure if it or not.i just was looking for some help thanks Pitcrew
