Hi Durango Forum!
We are newbies and have a puzzling problem for our friend Jim. He just installed new ceramic pads on their "Beast", a beautiful 2002 Durango, and when they first started driving, the front pads were smoking and eventually the drivers front caught fire.
They quickly put it out with an ABC extinquisher, towed it home and changed the pads and installed new rotors. Drove it for two days, then this morning, as they were entering the freeway, it felt like the car was under a load and the brakes appear to be sticking - this time, the passenger front appears to be the culprit.....what should they be looking at something electronic, bleed the brakes or what should they try next?
From Jim: This is my bride's car and I want her to be safe.
Thanks so much, Jim
